Anacampseros is a genus of the plant family Anacampserotaceae. The species grow in South and East Africa, some in Argentina and Bolivia. Most of the plants are dwarf forms, less branched and herbaceous, that may form dense mats. The plants in this genus are perennial. In age some plants can have a small caudex or a tuberous root-stock. The leaves are either lanceolate in shape or rounded and can be closely spaced. In some species the leaves are more or less hidden by papery or filamentous stipules. The color of the flower may be white, pink, or pale purple.
